November 2017 was a month with above normal temperatures and well below normal precipitation. Three out of four Automated Surface Observing Systems within the Springfield, Missouri County Warning Area recorded a top 10 driest November last month. Meanwhile, Vichy, Missouri set a record for the driest November on record!
The significant lack of precipitation for the fall months this year has pushed much of our area into Moderate Drought (d1) to Severe Drought (d2) levels.
